Man*hattan

My inner clock is still ticking in Vienna, so I woke up really early, but all my roomies were awake too, so I got up.

After all the humins had been under the house water fall, we went to the beach to have breakfast. Real picknick…

… on a real beach.

This part of New York is called Coney Island. It’s a little bit outside, but like wow.

Then we started the day by driving with the Metro. We had a lot to learn there. Like that you can’t ad a time value on a Airport-Train-Card, you need a “real” Metro-Card. But you only have to pay 1$ for that. And then you can upload seven days for 30$ and drive through NYC as much as you like. Or more, as we did, because we took wrong trains a lot. But finally we got to the part of the city with the very very high buildings.

And a lot of pling-plings.

Then we ate at a very fancy vegan restaurant.

Kinda expensive, but I think in this part of town it is like that. At least the people here look like everything is very expensive. And the buildings look like this too. A lot of marble and big halls. This is one of the more famous high buildings. Do you know it? I guess you do.

We had a hard time to learn, which of the famous high buildings is which, but this one – as we know now – is the Greißler-Building. There must be hundreds of them inside here.

We also got a great look from the Madison Square to the sunset. Streets here are so straight, you can see very far.

After that we visited a very cute bookstore: http://bluestockings.com/

So another day went buy, and we went home. It really is a looong ride to Brighton Beach. When we got there, my humins were so very tired, they fell asleep immidiatly. And me will go to sleep too nao. Nighty night!
